Hello everyone I want to share with you some computer buying tips when thinking about buying or upgrading your computer. Here are the 10 things that you should consider and some solutions when making these decisions.
1) Ask yourself is it time for me to get a new computer?
2) What type of computer do I want to buy Desktop, Laptop, or Mac?
3) What is my spending budget to buy a new computer?
4) Should I buy a new, refurbished, or custom built computer or laptop?
5) How long have you had the computer? If it is more than 5 years you should consider buying a new one
6) Do a complete research on where you would like to buy your computer from. This preferably should be from a reputable vendor such as Dell, Hewlett Packard, or even Apple. Depending on your budget if a new computer is out of reach for you then buy a refurbished computer in good condition with warranty coverage this will be a little cheaper but if the price is more for the refurbished computer buy a new computer.
7) I wouldn't recommend buying a custom built computer from a mom and pop spot because these computer places tend to go out of business leaving you stuck with no computer support options and help. Only consider this option only if these computer places have been in business over 5 years have a reputable website and is in a convient location in your area that you can get to if something goes wrong with your computer.
8) Is my current computer upgradeable? In these instances yes depending on how long you've had the computer and if the warranty is still in service. If your computer is over a year old and still has warranty coverage then a hardware or software upgrade is a good way to go as long as your computer has warranty coverage for both you can have these upgrades done for free by the company vendor where you purchased the computer. If the computer is out of warranty and is 3 to 5 years old the best thing to do is to buy a new computer with good warranty coverage.
9) Make sure that the computer, or laptop, has a stable processor such as an Intel dual core processor, 4GB or more of memory, 250 GB hard drive and up a Dvd/Cdrw rewritable drive, and the latest Windows Vista 64 bit Operating System soon to be Windows 7 .
10) Last but not least if you are buying a computer, or laptop, make sure that you purchase the necessary software for them such as Microsoft Office 2007, Antivirus and Spyware protection software such as AVG Internet Security with a one or two year license to keep the computer protected from viruses, spyware and spam.
